SPARSHAGUNA OUTPATIENT CENTRE

An initiative by the Good Sam Foundation, this centre has been providing essential out-patient care since February 2021. Partnering with AIFO India, a respected NGO with over 45 years of experience in leprosy eradication, Sparshaguna operates from AIFO’s facility in Koramangala, Bengaluru.

The centre specializes in wound care and physiotherapy services, reaching out to people with disabilities and those affected by tragic incidents. The centre also extends its wound care and physiotherapy services by visiting the homes of those who are not in a state to travel, ensuring no one is left behind.

Sparshaguna is a beacon of hope, offering vital treatments and therapies to those in need, helping them recover and regain their independence.

KARUNYA INPATIENT CENTRE

Humnabad, Kalaburgi (Gulbarga)

A rural initiative of the Good Sam Foundation, this centre has been operational since December 2022, providing in-patient wound care, community care and rehabilitation services.

In collaboration with Mother Teresa Charitable Hospital Trust, a rural hospital with over 13 years of dedicated service, our Karunya centre is equipped with 10 beds and focuses on treating adults and children with spinal cord injuries and locomotor.

Since most of the people who we serve around Kalaburgi live in rural areas, we frequently conduct rural community visits to reach and engage people at their homes and provide them with essential treatments, therapy and services.

Karunya aims to restore the dignity and independence of the people who we serve, while providing them with holistic care and rehabilitation in a region where such services are not easily accessible.

THE GOOD SAM WOUND CARE AND REHAB CENTRE

Sumanahalli LRTC Campus, Bengaluru

Launched in August 2023, as an in-patient facility dedicated to wound care and rehabilitation, this centre is made possible through the collaboration between the Good Sam Foundation and the Summanahalli Society, a 46-year-old NGO serving the destitute and those affected by leprosy.

The centre offers 12 beds and provides people in our care with comprehensive wound care and rehabilitation services for individuals with spinal cord injuries, strokes and traumatic brain Injury. We also manage the surgical interventions and post surgical care and rehabilitation of patients affected by leprosy at another unit designated for their care .

The services offered by The Good Sam Wound Care and Rehab Centre are very unique and are focused on reaching the most vulnerable, the marginalized and the ostracised of our society, with promise of a good quality of life and secure future.
